Four ways to reach us, and a real person at the end of all of them

Call, send a secure message, walk into one of our 42 branches, or use the post office. Average hold time on the member line last month was one minute forty seconds.

Before you dial

Have these ready and the call takes half as long

Verification is the slowest part of most calls. Gathering four things ahead of time usually saves five to seven minutes, and it lets the agent actually solve the problem instead of asking questions.

Your member number or the account number in question
A government photo ID, since we may ask for details from it
The date and amount of any transaction you are asking about
The phone we have on file, so a verification code can reach you

One thing we will never need: your password, your PIN, or a code we texted you. Any caller asking for those is not us. The Security Center explains why.

Where to send mail

General correspondence, signed forms, and address changes go to Summit Federal Credit Union, PO Box 4820, Riverton, MN 55402-4820. Include your member number on every page so nothing gets separated in processing.

Loan payments by mail

Send a check or money order to Summit Federal Credit Union, Loan Payment Processing, PO Box 4835, Riverton, MN 55402-4835. Write your loan number in the memo line and allow five business days for delivery and posting. Never mail cash.

Disputes and written claims

Card disputes, billing errors, and credit reporting disputes go to Summit Federal Credit Union, Member Resolution, PO Box 4841, Riverton, MN 55402-4841. Send copies rather than originals, and keep a record of what you sent and when.

Corporate office

120 Meridian Avenue, Riverton, MN 55402. Lobby hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Deliveries and overnight packages should use this street address rather than a PO box.

Before you call

When is the shortest wait?

Tuesday through Thursday between 9 and 11 a.m. Mondays, lunch hours, and the first and fifteenth of the month are the worst. Saturday mornings are quieter than people expect.

Can I email you my account details?

Please do not. Regular email is not encrypted end to end. Use the secure message tab inside digital banking, which is built for exactly this and keeps a record you can refer back to.

Do you offer chat?

Yes, inside digital banking during member service hours. It handles balances, transfers, card questions, and payment scheduling well. Anything that needs identity verification for a large change moves to the phone.

Something is wrong and nobody has fixed it. Who is next?

Ask for a supervisor on the call, or write to Member Resolution at the PO box above. Every written complaint gets a named owner and a response within ten business days.

Can I speak to someone in Spanish?

Yes. Spanish-speaking agents are on the member line during all posted hours, and several branches have Spanish-speaking staff on site. Interpretation for other languages can be arranged with a day's notice.

We would rather hear from you early

Small problems are cheap to fix. Call us before they are not.
