CALCULATORS

Get a number before you get a sales pitch

Six free tools that answer the questions people actually ask us at the branch counter. Nothing you enter is saved, and none of it starts an application.

The tools

Six calculators, six specific questions

Each one takes under two minutes and shows the math it used.

Auto Payment

Answers: what will this car cost me every month? Enter the price, your trade-in, your down payment, and a term. It returns the payment at our current 4.09% APR on new autos and shows total interest across the life of the loan.

Mortgage Payment

Answers: what is the real monthly number on this house? Principal and interest at 6.375% fixed, plus estimated taxes, insurance, and escrow, so the figure you see resembles the one you would actually pay.

Savings Growth

Answers: how big does this get if I keep adding to it? Set a starting balance and a monthly deposit and watch it compound at 4.15% APY. Useful for sizing an emergency fund or a down payment target.

Loan Payoff

Answers: what does an extra $50 a month actually buy me? Enter your balance, rate, and payment, then add anything extra. It shows the new payoff date and the interest you skip.

Debt Consolidation

Answers: would rolling these balances into one loan help? List up to eight debts with their rates and payments. It compares your current total against one Summit loan from 10.49% APR and flags when consolidating costs more.

Refinance Break-Even

Answers: how long until a refinance pays for itself? Enter your current loan and the new terms with closing costs. It returns the month you break even, so you know whether staying put is smarter.

What a calculator can and cannot tell you

These tools do arithmetic well. They do not know your credit file, your income, or whether the roof on that house is 22 years old. Treat the output as a planning number and let a lender confirm it.

Nothing you type is stored or sent to our lending team
Using a calculator never touches your credit report
Results assume on-time payments and no fees added mid-term
Mortgage results are estimates until an appraisal and title search are done

Getting a good answer

Three things to gather first

1

Your current balances and rates

Pull the last statement for every loan and card. The rate on the statement is the one that matters, not the promotional rate you signed up for two years ago.

2

The real purchase price

For a car, include tax, title, and dealer fees. For a house, add closing costs. Leaving these out is the single most common reason a calculator result feels wrong later.

3

A payment you can live with

Work backward. Decide what fits your month, then let the calculator tell you what price or term that supports. It is a better order of operations than starting at the sticker.

Common questions

Will the payment I see here be my actual payment?

Close, if your credit and term match the defaults. Your final rate is set after we review your application, so the payment can move up or down. Ask for a written quote and the number becomes binding for 30 days.

Does the mortgage calculator include taxes and insurance?

Yes, as estimates. It applies a typical local property tax rate and an average homeowners premium. Once you have a specific address, we replace both with the real figures from the county and your insurer.

Why does the consolidation calculator sometimes tell me not to consolidate?

Because stretching a two-year balance across five years can raise the total interest even at a lower rate. The tool compares lifetime cost, not just the monthly payment, and says so when consolidating loses.

Do I need to be a member to use these?

No. The calculators are open to anyone. Joining takes a $5 opening deposit and makes you an owner of the credit union, which is what gets you the member rates shown above.

Can someone walk through the results with me?

Yes. Call (800) 555-0148 or stop into any of our 42 branches. Bring your printout or just the numbers you entered and a lender will check the assumptions with you at no cost.
