FEES
Every fee we charge, on one page
No monthly maintenance fee on any personal checking or savings account. Everything else we could charge you for is listed below with the amount and the condition that triggers it.
How to read this
Summit is member-owned and not-for-profit, which means fees exist to cover the cost of a service rather than to produce a return for shareholders. Most members go a full year without paying any of them. The ones people hit most often, out-of-network ATM withdrawals and courtesy pay items, are also the easiest to avoid with a little planning.
Fees are debited from the account tied to the service on the day the service happens, and they appear on your statement with a plain description rather than a code. If a fee posts and you think it should not have, call member service at (800) 555-0148. We reverse honest mistakes, and we do it without an argument.

Common questions
Can I turn courtesy pay off?
Yes, at any time, in online banking or by calling (800) 555-0148. With it off, an item that would overdraw your account is simply returned, and the $25 returned item fee applies instead.
How do the ATM rebates work?
Out-of-network surcharges and our own $2 fee are rebated for the first four withdrawals each statement cycle on personal checking accounts. The credit posts on the last business day of the cycle.
Do business accounts use this same schedule?
Most items match, but business checking has its own transaction and cash handling limits. See business banking or ask your relationship manager for the business schedule.
Will you ever add a fee without telling me?
No. Any new fee or increase comes with at least 30 days written notice by mail or eStatement, and this page is updated on the same date the change takes effect.
Fewer fees starts with the right account
Five dollars opens a share account and makes you an owner of the credit union.
